Thank you for registering your business in the “Big Mountain Resort Area District”. Please let us know if we can be of help.

To register, we'll take you through 3 steps:

1. 3% resort tax, June 1 2025 introduction letter. Our goal is to answer a few questions and give you a point of contact with us.
2. Business registration form. If you are a business owner, or rent your property, you are required to register your business with the District. We'll provide you with a fillable online form to register.
3. Resort tax transmittal options. We'll take you to the page where you'll learn the different ways you can remit your tax payment.

Note to renters: State of Montana agencies identify all rental properties for us. Do us, and yourself, a favor by registering your rental property.

As a newly formed Resort tax district, we are just getting started. We are interested in ideas that you may have about our process of collection and how to make it better. Your thoughts regarding what we could be using the tax fund for, to enhance guest experience, would also be great to learn about. We welcome you to attend our Board meetings.
